Working to empower the Haitian community

With a healthier body, mind and spirit

Striving to strengthen the bond between God and mankind through the teachings of Jesus Christ, we aim to help the Haitian people rise above their circumstances. With an array of productive projects initiated, we focus on helping the community achieve personal growth and social sustainability.
Owing to poor economic conditions, inaccessibility to resources, war breaking out, lawlessness and violence coupled with extreme poverty; the Haitian community is deprived of a number of basic human necessities. Through your donations, NFLM can help them get on the path to growth and development and a brighter future.

Current and Future Projects

Building Homes in Pignon

Nestled on the north side of the Central Plateau of Haiti, Pignon is a quintessentially rural area, with most of its population engaged in farming sugar cane and conga beans. Given its socioeconomic conditions, it’s no wonder that most of Pignon’s populace survives below the poverty line, living in barely secure mud and stick houses. These houses pose a threat to t safety of their families, due to frequently falling heavy tropical rains, hurricanes and other environmental factors.
NFLM is currently in the process of building homes for all those in Pignon Haiti who currently find themselves living in uninhabitable conditions. To date, we have constructed 3 homes in Pignon; the need however is endless.

Help us build a house and save a family

The cost to build one home in Pignon is approximately $6000. We need your support to help build as many homes as possible.
Would your church or group like to take on a fundraising project to help raise the funding to build one or more homes in Pignon, Haiti?
You could also join us on a mission trip to help build the home with your own hands!

Earthquake Relief

On August 14, 2021, the South-West region of Haiti inhabiting a million people within 31 miles radius, was struck with a devastating 7.2 magnitude earthquake leaving in its wake, damages comparable to the 2010 catastrophe, but scaled down owing to lesser population density and more rural living of the region. To make matters worse, just two days later Haiti was hit by Tropical Depression Grace. These natural calamities left the already struggling families distraught. These people lost their homes, farms and in some cases loved ones.

Relief work by NFLM

To bring some relief to the families affected, NFLM recently organized a mission to this area and brought some essential supplies, such as tents, small mattresses, sandals, clothing, hygiene items, and clean drinking water & food staples.
So far we have been able to serve 150 individuals, but we need your support to extend our efforts to more and more people in this area.

Your donations bring hopefulness and life

Would you consider a one-time donation towards our relief efforts? No amount is too small, for only $2.50 you provide someone with a nourishing meal.
You can also contribute every month to help ensure this program continues. Any excess funding will be placed in our Emergency Fund and be used the next time a natural disaster such as an earthquake, hurricane, mudslide or flood strikes the island nation.
Would your church or group like to take on a fundraising project to help raise funding or collect donations to bring relief to those in the wake of such tragedy? You could also join us on a mission trip to help minister directly to the needs of those suffering.

Feeding Program in Pignon

Pignon is a small commune on the north side of the Central Plateau of Haiti. The socioeconomic situation of the region is cataclysmic with most people barely surviving below the poverty line. The population thoroughly lacks even the most basic of human needs like clean water and 2 meals a day. To help these families sustain themselves throughout the week, we provide a meal every Sunday.
The feeding program operated by NFLM in Pignon, Haiti is our commitment to provide some comfort to those in need. To share our blessings with the disadvantaged communities.
Each Sunday we provide lunch boxes to approximately 100 individuals. This meal may be the only meal they eat that day, or in extreme situations, it may be the only meal they have had for several days. It costs approximately $250 to feed 100 people, which counts down to just $2.50 per person. $1,000 a month provides 400 healthy meals to those living in extreme poverty.
